AUSTIN – An Earth Week trash pick-up program has been slated from 1 – 3 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at the Sinnemahoning State Park
Participants are asked to join the park naturalist for “a program with a purpose.” The winter and recent high water events have been a little hard on the area around the lake, and the shore could use a little sprucing up.
Anyone interested in participating in the program should meet at the Boat Launch area and help clean up debris and trash left by the heavy rains. Gloves and rakes will be provided by the park staff.
Participants are pleased asked to dress for the weather and for working in the field. Boots and insect repellent are recommended. For more information on this and other park programs, please contact the park office at 814-647-8401.
