- Police reported an incident of identity theft at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Irvona Township, Clearfield County. A person(s) allegedly used an 18-month-old’s social security number for the purpose of identity theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police reported an incident of theft that occurred sometime between March 31 and Monday in Pike Township, Clearfield County. A person(s) obtained a 45-year-old Curwensville woman’s e-mail address and password and hacked into her iTunes account. The person(s) completed two transactions, which totaled $84. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police reported a single-vehicle accident at approximately 7:20 a.m. Wednesday on state Route 879 in Pike Township, Clearfield County. Diane D. Rougeux, 34, of Kylertown was traveling west along SR 879, when she lost control of her vehicle on a large patch of ice. Her vehicle traveled off the north berm and struck a dirt embankment. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the mishap; only minor injuries were reported. Police were assisted at the scene by the Curwensville Volunteer Fire Company, Curwensville Ambulance and Simbeck’s Towing.
