Obituary Notice: Richard E. Pancoast Jr.

Richard E. “Rich” Pancoast Jr., 58 of Clearfield, passed away on April 4 at Clearfield Hospital.

Born Oct. 15, 1952 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Betty Joan (Bean) Pancoast of Gearhartville and the late Richard E. Pancoast.

On April 17, 1998 in Winchester, VA, he wed Sandra Jean (Williams) Pancoast, who survives at home.

And numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his father, brother: James Robert Pancoast and nephew  Joshua Allen Pancoast.

He was a 1970 graduate of Philipsburg Osceola High School.

He was self employed as a plumber, from which he retired. He also held various local law enforcement positions.

He was of the Protestant Faith.

He was a member of the Army Reserve during the Vietnam Era.

A memorial service will be held at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 Laurel St., Philipsburg on Wednesday, April 6 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating.  Military honors will be conducted at the church by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends at the church on April 6 from 11-12.
