Clearfield Chamber of Commerce to Hold Seminar: “Energy Deregulation and Ways to Save”

CLEARFIELD – The Chamber of Commerce of Clearfield has announced that they will be holding a seminar entitled “Energy Deregulation and Ways to Save” on March 30 at the Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club located at 1125 Country Club Road in Clearfield.

A representative from OnDemand Energy will be on hand to explain energy deregulation and how it affects our electric rates today.  Also to be touched on is how chamber members and their employees can save by locking in at low rates for their homes and businesses.

Through a partnership with ChamberChoice and FirstEnergy Solutions, Penelec customers that work for a chamber member business can lock in at 6.99 percent for the remainder of 2011 on their home electric bill.  Keep in mind projections show that rates could end up over 8 percent by the summer months, so this could be a significant savings.  Commercial meters can also save through the Guaranteed Savings Program.

Lunch will begin at 11:45 a.m. and the cost is $12.00 for chamber members and their employees or $14.00 for non-members.  Please RSVP by March 24 to amypotter@clearfieldchamber.com or by calling 814-765-7567.
