Clearfield Borough Approves Police Contract

Thursday night’s Clearfield Borough Council meeting saw the approval of the 4 year collective bargaining agreement with the Clearfield Borough Police Department, hiring of a part-time officer to the force and the presentation of Fred Wisor with his badges from when he was the police chief.

The council approved the 4 year collective bargaining agreement.  The agreement had been completed bargaining-wise prior to this meeting.  The agreement had been held up most recently to allow for the correction of typos.

Police Chief Vincent McGinnis asked the council for permission to hire a DuBois resident, John Brown, as a part time officer.  The council approved the hiring.

McGinnis later presented to wisor his badge from when he served as chief of police.  McGinnis stated he had found the badge while doing some cleaning.  Wisor served in the department from 1961 to 1993.
