Troutville Residents Trapped in Vehicle Overnight Following Accident

BRADY TOWNSHIP – Two Troutville residents were trapped in a vehicle overnight following an accident on state Route 4003/Stanley Road.

According to the state police in DuBois, the accident occurred on March 14. Grace Heath, 88, was traveling southbound on Stanley Road. At the intersection with Haag Road, she traveled off the right side of the road and over an embankment, about 125 feet.

The vehicle overturned onto its roof. Both Heath and 89-year-old Ralph Srock were trapped in the vehicle until a passerby reported the vehicle at 3:43 p.m. on March 15. Both were extricated by Brady Township and Sykesville Fire Departments. They were then taken to a landing zone and flown to Altoona for treatment. The report listed that Srock and Heath suffered moderate injuries.
