Clotilda “Tee” (Morroni) Cornelius, 93, of Smithmill died Tuesday at the Tyrone Hospital.
Born on July 14, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Philomena (Gaggiotti) Morroni. She was a member of the Janesville United Methodist Church and a former member of the Ladies Christian Aides.
Mrs. Cornelius was a homemaker and also helped with the family owned greenhouse, the Morroni Brothers Florist Inc.
On Nov. 15, 1941 in the Ramey United Methodist Parsonage, she married George L. Cornelius, who preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 2006.
Mrs. Cornelius is survived by two sons, George R. Cornelius of Smithmill and Lee E. Cornelius and his wife, Ellon of Roseburg, OR; two granddaughters, Renee Wilson and her husband, Jeremy and Sherri Donovan and her husband, Allen; and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are six siblings, Raymond Morroni and his wife, Anne; Wanda Pearson, Ernest Morroni and his wife, Irene, Anita Pollick and Roald Morroni, all of Smithmill; and Amelia Fedorko and her husband, Stephen of Portage; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Cornelius was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Samuel Pollick and Edwin Pearson.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 – 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc Ramey.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with the Pastor Dennis L. McCracken and the Rev. Thomas A. McCoy officiating.
Interment will follow in the Allemansville Cemetery.
