Colleen M. Henchbarger, 71, of Clearfield, passed away March 12, 2011 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Mrs. Henchbarger was born June 14, 1939 in Ebensburg, the daughter of Larry J. and Sarah (Wiseman) Glass.
She retired in 2002 from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation Natural Resources and Forestry.
Mrs. Henchbarger was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Burton L. Henchbarger, whom she married on February 14, 1975, two children; Charles T. Ammerman and his wife Amy of Clearfield and Karen B. Libby and her husband Kent of Curwensville, seven grandchildren; Kathleen, Emily, Jennifer, Megan, Jacquelyn, Tyler and Amy Melissa, two sisters; Joyce E. Kitchen and her husband Harold of Latrobe and Carole Behory and her husband John of Greene, NY., a brother, Larry B. Glass and his wife Frieda of Loyalhanna and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Henchbarger was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Forrest Glass and a sister, Sara “Sally” Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 16 at the Curwensville United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Ludrowsky officiating. Interment will be in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.
Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield on March 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Curwensville United Methodist Church, Window Fund, 602 State Street, Curwensville, PA 16833.
