Crash Debris Recovery to Cause Lane Closure on I-80 in Centre County on Sunday

CLEARFIELD – Crash debris recovery will bring a lane restriction and then a full daylight eastbound closure on Interstate 80 in Centre County on March 13. Beginning at 6:30am, crews will first work under a lane restriction between mile-marker 151 and mile-marker 152.

Before 10am, crews will switch to a full eastbound closure between the Snow Shoe/147 interchange and the Milesburg/158 interchange. During the daylight closure, drivers will exit I-80 eastbound at the Snow Shoe/147 off-ramp. They will follow the green detour, which uses Route 144 south and Route 150 north, before returning to I-80 eastbound at the Milesburg/158 on-ramp.

Drivers should be alert for slowed or stopped traffic. PennDOT will place message boards prior to the closure and the Highway Advisory Radio System at 1640 on the AM dial will be in use.

Pennsylvania State Police will be on scene to assist with traffic control. Motorists may encounter flaggers at the intersections on the detour route.

Should weather conditions make rescheduling necessary; this closure will take place on March 20.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
