CLEARFIELD – A hearing in absentia was held for a Spring Mills man accused of stealing scrap metal from a shed in Morris Township.

According to court records, between Nov. 22, 2010 and Dec. 2, 2010, Stoliker gained access to the alleged victim’s shed in Morris Township and removed a 20 pound roll of copper wire valued at $60. He then removed 30 pounds of copper tubing valued at $90 from along the ground near the shed.

In another instance, Stoliker allegedly gained access to the house while another man was helping the alleged victim move some items around. Stoliker reportedly removed a 40 pound roll of copper wire valued at about $120.

Stoliker then sold all of the items to GC Scrap Metals Inc.
