- Police responded to a retail theft that occurred on Super Center Drive. Store employees apprehended a woman and charges are pending.
- Police received a request to check the welfare of a motorist on Fullerton Street. Officers spoke with the motorist, whose vehicle was disabled. Help was on the way.
- Police received a report of several traffic hazards, where power surges caused several traffic signals to go out. Fire police assisted with traffic control.
- Police apprehended a shoplifter at Wal-Mart Supercenter. Charges are pending.
- Police received a report of disorderly conduct in which a truck driver entered the women’s restroom at Sapp. Bros and looked under an occupied stall. A registration was obtained and the investigation continues.
- An Oregon man was arraigned on charges of public drunkenness. He was placed in Clearfield County Jail.
- Police were called to the 700 block of Weaver Street Extension for a young girl throwing snowballs at a neighbors door.
- Police respondedto an accident at the intersection of state Route 879 and Super Center Drive. A Hyde man was transported to the Clearfield Hospital emergency room with minor injuries. Officers were assisted by Clearfield EMS, AJ Ross and Tibbens Towing.
- Police were notified of a white man who pumped $50 in gas at the Snappy’s on SR 879 then paid for it with a counterfeit bill. Officers were in the area and stopped the Ohio man. The investigation continues.
- Police received a report of a possible DUI on SR 879. Officers located the vehicle and the driver was not under the influence, but having vehicle trouble.
- Police received a report of icy conditions on SR 879. PennDOT was notified.
- Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on Hog Back Road. The vehicle went over the embankment and the driver was no long on-scene. Officers determined the accident occurred in Pike Township and turned it over to state police.
- Police responded to a two vehicle accident on Park Avenue Extension. No injuries were reported.
- Police received a complaint of a traffic violation concerning an oversized load on Rockton Mountain Highway.
- Police received a report of a traffic violation on Daisy Street Extension. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and found that the driver was attempting to find something in the vehicle and not paying attention to the roadway.
- Police responded to a vehicle/deer accident on Coal Hill Road.
- Police responded to a residential alarm. The call was cancelled en route due to the homeowner providing the wrong pass code.
- Police responded to a hit-and-run on Race Street. A vehicle struck a parked vehicle, pushing it into a ditch. The fleeing vehicle is a Chrysler with front end damage, namely it’s missing the front bumper and fog lamp area. Hours later officers received a call from the responsible party. Charges will be filed.
- Police responded to Edgewood Apartments for a report of a domestic between a mother and son. Officers took the kid into custody and a citation will be issued.
- Police returned an item left at Dollar General to its rightful owner.
- Police responded to a report of a 911 hang-up call at a business on SR 879. It was found to be a telephone malfunction.
