- Police reported an incident of theft at 2:51 p.m. Saturday at Snappy’s Convenience Store in Houtzdale Borough, Clearfield County. An older Caucasian male pumped kerosene and walked around inside the store. He subsequently left without paying $41.67 for his 11.2 gallons of fuel. He was driving a white, Toyota pick-up truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
- Police reported an incident of simple assault at 12:30 p.m. Friday at a First Street residence in Grampian Borough, Clearfield County. A 28-year-old Mahaffey man has been accused for assaulting a 26-year-old Grampian woman. He reportedly choked her and struck her with a car door.
- Police reported an attempted burglary that occurred sometime between 12:15 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. Sunday at the LEYO’s IGA store in Beccaria Township, Clearfield County. A person(s) reported attempted to gain entry into the building through a ground floor door on the northern side. However, the suspects were scared off by individuals who were working inside the store. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
- Police reported a hit-and-run collision at approximately 11:30 a.m. Friday at Vulcan Road’s intersection with state Route 53 in Bigler Township, Clearfield County. A small pick-up truck operated by an older male was stopped at the intersection. His pick-up started to back down the hill for unknown reasons and struck the right rear of a 2007 Toyota Prius driven by Jacqueline Yebernetsky, 50. The male then fled the scene south on Vulcan Road without providing his information to Yebernetsky. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
