Olive Marie Martell, 77, of Clearfield, passed away Feb. 16, 2011 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born Sept. 24, 1933 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Howard and Hollis (Richner) Owens. Mrs. Martell had worked as a secretary for the former Harbison-Walker Refractories in Clearfield, David Taylor Model Basin in Maryland, Kurtz Brothers in Clearfield, and also Martell Glass Sales and Service in Hyde.
She was a member of the Gospel Chapel of Clearfield County, Inc. Woodland.
On Nov. 27, 1953 she wed Leonard R. Martell who survives along with 3 children. Marc Martell and his Fiancée Monica Supenia, Greg Martell and his wife Laura and Nanette Reams and her husband Richard all of Clearfield, 3 grandchildren Melanie Donnelly, Lauren Martell and Kyle Martell, 2 sisters and a brother. Nancy Fletcher and Cora Owens both of Clearfield and Stanley Owens of DuBois.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Daniel Owens.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Martell will be held at the Gospel Chapel of Clearfield County, Inc. Pleasant Valley Road, Woodland, on Feb. 19 at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor W. Lee Casher officiating. Interment will be in the Shawville Cemetery, Shawville.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Friday Feb. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m., and at the church on Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of services.
