CLEARFIELD – A fire broke out in a Hyde residence Wednesday evening.  The fire was quickly put out, but a hole was left in the roof of the couple who lived at the home.

According to Hyde Fire Chief Martin Neeper, no one was hurt in the fire and the fire marshal would be investigating for a potential cause.  The Red Cross will be assisting the couple.  Members of the Hyde Fire Department laid down tarps over the hole to protect the residence from damage from inclement weather the crew had heard was incoming that night.

Some of the other agencies that responded to the call Hyde, Curwensville, Clearfield Boro, Mill Road Station #5, Glenn Richey and Madara.
