Willa H. Irvin, 85 of Philipsburg, passed away on Feb. 6 at Clearfield Hospital.
Born June 18, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha (Nelson) Harper.
She has been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Philipsburg for more than 50 years, she was a past member of the N.O.P. Club, the Philipsburg Junior Womens Club, the Philipsburg Hospital Auxiliary and was also previously a volunteer at the Philipsburg Hospital. She was employed at Mid State Bank of Philipsburg until her retirement. She was a 1942 graduate of the Morris Township High School.
On Sept. 19, 1957 in Winchester, VA, she wed Thomas B. Irvin, who preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1994.
She was precededin death by her parents, husband, and brother Bert Harper.
She is survived by daughter Michele Gonzalez and her husband Alex of Dryden, NY; son Thomas Irvin of Philipsburg; half-brother William Harper and his wife Jane of Erie and step-brother Dick Wrye and his wife Sue of Indiana; sister-in-law Dorothy Harper of Henderson, NV and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating. Burial will be at the Allport Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Feb. 8 from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
