Martha M. Tocimak, 89, of Philipsburg died Thursday at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born on May 1, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Durko) Smolko. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Tocimak was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Hawk Run, where she was also active in the Altar and Rosary Society. She was formerly a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Louis #723, Philipsburg.
She wed Michael W. Tocimak Jr., who survives her at home, on April 26, 1941 in Madera. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight sisters, one brother and one son-in-law, Werner Valyko.
Mrs. Tocimak is survived by one daughter, Donna Tocimak Valyko of Chardon, OH; one son, Michael W. Tocimak III and his wife, Isabel of Philipsburg; and one sister, Matilda Zackey, also of Philipsburg.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Hawk Run, with the Rev. Robert J. Horgas as celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg. The Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m.
