Wilma Olive Adam, 93, of Clearfield, PA passed away Feb. 2, 2011 at the Punxsutawney Hospital.
She was born on Sept. 1, 1916, in Ashland, PA, the daughter of Uzz and Minnie (Kephart) Winter.
Mrs. Adam had been employed as a clerk at the former Howard Steven’s Market, Herb and Tom’s Market and the Clearfield Dairy on Old Town Road. She had also been employed as a cook at the former Clear Haven Nursing Home in Clearfield.
She was a member of The Presbyterian Church in Clearfield.
Mrs. Adam was a homemaker. She devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Adam is survived by three children: Alexander Gawaine Adam, Wilma Helen Badger and her husband James and Gay Lee Mallory and her husband Larry; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alexander Marr Adam, whom she married on Mary 15, 1936 and who died on Nov. 11, 1968 and a daughter in-law, Sandra Adam.
She was the last surviving member of her generation, having been preceded in death by eight brothers and six sisters: Tom Winter, Iva Kephart, Elma Johnston, Boyd Winter, Rosa Dawson, Erma McQueeney, Lloyd Winter, Ward Winter, Naomi Johnson, Maude Goss, Ralph Winter, Mark Winter, Marvin Winter and Raymond Winter.
At the request of Mrs. Adam, there will be no viewing and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
Interment will take place in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Clearfield.
