Lillian A. Mitskavich, Age 82 of South Ave., DuBois, Pa died Jan. 26, 2011 at Christ the King Manor.
Born on Oct. 28, 1928 in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late John & Eva (Davidavich) Rokoski.
In October of 1953, she married Nester “Nesty” Mitskavich. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1974.
She was part of the family business as the owner/operator of the DuBois Bowling Lanes for many years.
She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in DuBois and a member of the Knights of Lithuania Council # 86. She enjoyed walking, bowling, and cooking.
She is survived by 5 children (Stanley J. Mitskavich of DuBois, PA; Susan Hindman and her husband Bart of Clarion, PA; Michael C. Mitskavich of DuBois, PA; Thomas M. Mitskavich and his wife Jackie of DuBois, PA; and Dr. Mary Wnorowski and her husband Gary of Avon by the Sea, NJ) a brother (Francis Rokoski of Coraopolis, PA;) 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Nancy Chapman, who provided numerous hours of care and companionship during Lillian’s stay at Christ the King Manor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter ( Janet Mitskavich) 2 sisters ( Helen Fusco, and Mary Rokoski) and 6 brothers ( Rev. Charles Rokoski; John Rokoski; William Rokoski; George Rokoski; Dr. Bernard Rokoski; and Leonard Rokoski)
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Matias Quimno as celebrant.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
