Mr. Seager has spent the last twenty-eight years as a health care administrator and consultant. He accepted his current position as President and CEO of Beacon Light Behavioral Health Systems in Bradford, PA in 2007. With close to 600 employees and 18 locations in eight counties, Beacon Light is one of the fastest growing behavioral health companies in Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Beacon Light, as the CEO of Deerfield Behavioral Health, Mr. Seager specialized in Behavioral Health Information Systems, practice development, public sector consulting and finance. He founded Deerfield Behavioral Health in 1991 after leaving the administrative team at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA, where Mr. Seager had worked extensively in the areas of medical staff development, behavioral health, health informatics and finance since 1981.
Mr. Seager is a native of Erie, PA, where he graduated from Cathedral Prep High School in 1975. He later received a B.S. in Psychology and Human Development in 1979 from Gannon University.
Rick currently resides with his wife, Tricia Durbin, in Warren, PA. He has two adult children, Kelly Sczemecki of Chicago, IL, and Heidi Brown, Dover Air Force base, Dover, DE; and two grandchildren.
With his extensive experience of finance and business operations, Mr. Seager participates in governance of many community organizations including Millcreek Health System in Erie, PA; Bradford Area Business Alliance; University of Pittsburgh at Bradford; Warren Convention Authority; and Conewango Club of Warren. In addition, he is Chairperson for Pennsylvania Leadership Council Physician Recruitment & Retention Committee and the Chair of Behavioral Health Subcommittee formed to assist in redrafting the Pennsylvania Public Health Code. He is also past Treasurer and current Secretary for Warren County Convention Center Authority.
