Adeline Pearl “Deannie” Geppert, 80, of DuBois died Saturday, at Christ the King Manor.
Born on Dec. 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Ripe) Quarando. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society.
She was a member of Christ the King Manor Auxiliary and the “Little R” group of Rockwell International Manufacturing. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Geppert was a cook at Larsen’s Lunch, Valentine’s Flaming Hearth, The Encore Inn, and the Montgomery Ward Buffeteria for many years. She was also a Certified Nursing Assistant at Christ the King Manor for 15 years.
She was married to Joseph Dapota, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 10, 1962, she married Dennis E. Geppert; he survives.
She is survived by five children, Elissa Jones of Youngstown, OH; Mrs. Mark (Tina) Fields of DuBois; Rick Geppert and his wife, Michele of Harrisburg; Mrs. Robert (Patty) Luisi of DuBois; and Mrs. Chris (Missy) Glavan of Pittsburgh; one brother, Ralph Quarando of Cleveland, OH; one sister, Ann Digilarmo of DuBois; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Dapota; one son, William “Billy” Geppert; two sisters, Mary Dorchak and Melva Villella; and three brothers, John, Gene and Floyd Quarando.
The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
The Rosary will be prayed on at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday; a Scriptural wake service will be held at 3 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery.
