HARRISBURG – Tuesday afternoon marked the inauguration of Tom Corbett as governor of Pennsylvania, and a Curwensville business was a part of it.
Starr Hill Vineyard and Winery’s ‘Sparkling Diamond’ was selected as the official wine of Corbett’s inauguration. The winery placed the official logo for the inauguration of the 46th governor of Pennsylvania on the bottle and placed it in a clear bag with a matching bow.
“It was a great honor for the winery to supply the wine for one of the three events taking place at the inauguration. It is also quite an honor for the town of Curwensville, as entertainment for one of the Inaugural events was done by Curwensville natives Chris Mcgarry and daughter Megan, State Fiddle Champion,” said Kenn Starr of Starr Hill Hill Winery.
Starr Hill Vineyard and Winery also showcased the ‘Sparkling Diamond’ along with other popular wine selections at the 2011 Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg this past weekend, Jan. 14 and 15.
