- Police are currently investigating an incident of theft at a residence on Mill Street in Munson, Rush Township. Sometime between January 2008 and December 2010, someone allegedly acquired the victim’s vehicle registration plate and is now using the plate on a vehicle in Philadelphia. The theft was discovered when the victim received a parking ticket from the city of Philadelphia in the mail.
- Police are currently investigating a report of theft by deception in Union Township, Centre County. According to the report, a Julian man allegedly purchased two tickets for the Winter Classic hockey game in Pittsburgh from an individual on Craig’s List. After the agreement was made, the victim sent the suspect $500, but he never received the tickets.
- Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on South Centre Street in Philipsburg Borough. A car driven by Christopher J. Boyles, 22, of Altoona lost control of his vehicle, crossed over the roadway and struck the guiderails. Minor injuries were reported. Police were assisted by the Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services.
