“What’s in a Name” Seminar to be Held at Stew’s Brew in DuBois

DUBOIS – A free seminar titled “What’s in a Name?” is being offered on Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. at Stew’s Brew Coffeehouse in downtown DuBois, across from DuBois Public Library.   Have you ever wondered where your surname or last name, came from? Or maybe what your last name could tell you about your family history?  Stew’s Brew is delighted to host John Sensor, a scholar who may be able to give you insight on these topics.

Stew’s Brew takes pride in hosting and promoting educational and arts-related events, including a monthly “Poetry Reading” night the second Wednesday of each month, sponsored by the DuBois Area Council on the Arts.  They host local musicians who provide free live music every Friday night,  local artisans have displays and items for sale in the shop, actors frequently stop to practice lines, and many groups and clubs gather there.  If you have questions on the upcoming seminar or other cultural events being planned, please call 814-503-8433 or e-mail coffee@stewsbrew.com.
