Helen Marie Lewis, 62, of Curwensville, passed away early Tuesday morning, Jan. 11, 2011 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born June 20, 1948 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Clifford and Geraldine (Rowles) Hamilton. Mrs. Lewis was retired as a secretary for the Clearfield County Domestic Relations Office. She was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church.
On June 27, 1970 in Clearfield, she wed Kerry W. Lewis who survives along with her mother of Clearfield and a son Ronald Edward Lewis and his wife Jilynn of Bells Landing. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren Alayna Lewis, Tyler Danver and Troy Danver as well as 3 brothers and a sister. Rev. Clifford Hamilton Jr. and his wife Patty of Erie, Reverend David Hamilton and his wife Glenda of Burnt Cabins, Vivian Miccike of Clearfield, and John “Jack” Hamilton and his wife Sharon of Glen Richey.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Lewis will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. in Curwensville on Jan. 14 at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Ernest Simmers officiating. Interment will be in the Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Jan. 13 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services.
