Wayne D. Little, 66, of DuBois, formerly of Clearfield, died on Jan. 9, 2011.
He was born on July 22, 1944 in Drifting, a son of the late James and Maude (Rowles) Little.
Mr. Little was previously employed with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as a surveyor for 25 years. He also worked for Local 772 Ironworkers, Clearfield for 10 years.
He was a member of the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6, the Clearfield Veteran’s of Foreign Wars F. Michael Sicks Post #1785, the Clearfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #812 and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by three children, Kristina Tuite of Pittsburgh, David W. Little and wife Micaela of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Jodi Block and husband Hal of Naples, FL; four grandchildren, Giovanni Little, Mattia Little, Marisa Little, Jayson Block; his companion, Elaine Kelly of DuBois; two brothers, Karl Little and wife Darlene of Plymouth, MI and Earl Little and wife Ruthann of Bigler and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Willard, Roger “Jim”, Boyd, Leroy, and Russell Little.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Severin Catholic Church, Drifting on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David A. Perry, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Saint Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.
Military honors will be accorded at the church by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Posts’ Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from
6-8:00 p.m. and at church on Friday from 10-11:00 a.m.
