- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident that involved two freightliners at mile marker 123 on Interstate 80 on Friday. Yuhana Remish, 37, of Illinois was traveling westbound on I-80, when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway and crossed over the median, striking another freightliner operated by Robert Chester of Pittstown. After impact, Remish’s vehicle overturned onto the passenger’s side and came to rest, blocking the left lane of travel. There were no injuries reported. Remish’s vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
- Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 in Lawrence Township on Saturday. A vehicle operated by Sally Kee, 67, of Evanston, IL was slowing down for traffic ahead, when she lost control and struck the guiderails. She was transported to Clearfield Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries. Police were assisted at the scene by the Lawrence Township Fire Company.
