Shirley J. (Soupart) Polacek, 75, of Houtzdale died Friday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born on June 5, 1935 at Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Alfred J. and Anna (Kost) Soupart. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey and a homemaker.
Mrs. Polacek is survived by her husband, Robert and her daughter, Janice M. Hartman of Tyrone.
In addition, she’s survived by three sisters, Alfreda Matevish of Manahawkin, NJ; Donna Fowler of Dade City, FL; and Jeanette “Jan” Daye of Smithmill; two brothers, Jimmie Soupart and his wife, Joyce of Conroe, TX and Michael Soupart and his wife, Karen of Bellwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Florine Tucker and Kathryn Massaro.
At the request of Mrs. Polacek, there will be no public visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Zab Amar as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Ramey.
