Dorothy M. Tokarcik, 89, of Morann, passed away at 3:20 p.m., Jan. 4, 2011 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born at Ginter, PA on Oct. 23, 1921, a daughter of the late Andrew C. and Julia A. (Seman) Tokarcik.
Dorothy was a parishioner of Christ The King Catholic Church, Houtzdale and was a member of the Christ the the King Rosary Society.
She was a 1940 graduate of the former Houtzdale High School. Dorothy worked as a seamstress for 40 years, retiring in 1982 from the former Viceroy Manufacturing Factory of Osceola Mills and previously worked at the JBC Sewing Factory, Madera
Dorothy is survived by one brother, Robert Tokarcik and his wife Mary of Ginter, PA. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Wargo and six brothers; Andrew, John, Leonard, George, Joseph and Charles Tokarcik.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Ramey. Christ The King Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 3:30 PM Friday in the funeral home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Jan. 8, at 10:00 a.m. in Christ The King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Fr. Joseph P. Staszewski as celebrant. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Brisbin. Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of the Donors choice.
