Ruth Olive Flynn, 88, of Grampian, died Tuesday at the Clearfield Hospital. She was the last member of her generation.
Born Dec. 16, 1922 in Chestnut Grove, Bloom Township, she was the daughter of Larry F. and Ethel H. (Smith) Gelnett. Mrs. Flynn was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Grampian and was a homemaker.
She was wed to Richard C. Flynn, who survives along with two children, Richard A. Flynn and Debra Lee Flynn, both of Grampian. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Charles and Blainanne Flynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Burdette and Elmer Gelnett; and one sister, Maxine Centra.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, with the Rev. Emmett Anderson, officiating. Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Friday.
