BRADY TOWNSHIP – A 51-year-old DuBois woman was killed in a fatal pedestrian collision on state Route
219 at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in Brady Township, Clearfield County. The Dubois state police identified the pedestrian as Terri L. Taylor, 51, of DuBois.
According to the police report, Taylor was walking along the eastern berm of SR 219 and attempted to cross the highway in a northwest direction. She was struck in the northbound lane by a vehicle that was operated by Roni Jo Burkett, 46, of DuBois.
Police said that Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearfield County Deputy Coroner Kimberly Shaffer-Snyder. Burkett was not injured and her seatbelt was in use at the time of the accident. Her vehicle sustained minor damage.
Police said the roadway was closed for approximately three hours. Police were assisted at the scene by the Troop C CARS Unit, the Troop C Forensic Services Unit, PennDOT, the Brady Township Fire and Ambulance and the American Red Cross.
