AUSTIN – The Sinnemahoning State Park will host a “Winter Backyard Birding” program from 1 – 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18.
Spring is a long ways away, and Pennsylvania’s birds are dealing with harsh winter conditions. Setting up a backyard bird feeder is a way to help them survive a difficult time of year.
Join the park naturalist for an informative program on attracting, feeding and identifying the area’s winter residents. The program will wind up with a chance to make a pinecone bird feeder to hang in your own backyard.
Meet at the maintenance building on Swank Road below the dam. Call the park at 814-647-8401 for more information or directions.
