Work to Cause Lane Restrictions Between Curwensville, Grampian

CLEARFIELD – Core boring work will cause lane restrictions along state Route 879 between Curwensville and Grampian, beginning Dec. 20. Work was originally scheduled to begin next week, but weather caused a setback in the project start date.

Area motorists will encounter daytime lane closures the week of Dec. 20 and Dec. 27. Flaggers will be in place to enforce an alternating traffic pattern.

Motorists will not see lane closures on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

The work zone is located about halfway between Curwensville and Grampian. Drivers can expect short travel delays. PennDOT expects to lift the traffic restriction by Dec. 30.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can also log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
