BELLEFONTE – A forecast of snowy weather in Centre County has delayed a scheduled lane closure on northbound Interstate 99/220, near the Bellefonte/Route 550 exit.
The lane closure had been scheduled for tomorrow Dec. 7 but will now take place Thursday, Dec. 9. On Thursday, crews will be working to mill and pave a section of the northbound travel (right) lane near the SR 550 exit. The work is necessary to repair a pavement/concrete slab issue along the roadway. Work will begin at 7 a.m. on Thursday and last through the daylight hours. All work is weather dependent. With the travel lane closed, drivers will be shifted to the passing (left) lane to get around the work zone. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is the contractor for this work.
