Ms. Lake was born on July 21, 1937 in Bloomington, PA, the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Kinback) Clark.
Ms. Lake was 1956 graduate of Clearfield High School. She was a homemaker and had been employed by the former DuPont Electronics in Clearfield having retired in 1990. Prior to that, she had employed by the Westinghouse Corporation, Baltimore, MD.
She was a member of the O’Shanter United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lake had also served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Mt. Zion Cemetery Association, Olanta. She was a member of the Glen Richey Sportsman’s Association and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Joyce Bowden and her husband Don of Curwensville, Barbara Swatsworth and her husband Teddy of Clearfield, Norma Freeman and her husband Don of North Carolina, John Clark of Boyertown, PA and Ed Clark of Olanta, PA. She was also survived by a former son in-law, Kevin McKinney and a Godson, Kurtis Swatsworth and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Lake was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Gilbert A. Lake who died on April 25, 1989 and her daughter Tina (Lake) McKinney, who died on October 24, 1985; three brothers: Robert Clark, Roy Dean Clark, Ralph Clark and a sister, Iva King.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Pastor Christine Freeman Frank officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Olanta, PA.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of the services.
Funeral arrangements were made by Mrs. Lake prior to her death and at her request, asks that memorial contributions be made to the O’Shanter United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Please omit flowers.
