- Police are investigating an assault that occured along state Rourte 1830 in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County. A 30-year-old man from Virginia and a 30 year-old-woman were traveling in a vehicle when they started fighting. The man attempted to choke the woman and he bit her on the right hand. She struck him in the face. The pair called police when they arrived at the Falls Creek Sheetz. The woman was treated at the DuBois Regional Medical Center for injuries she received in the fight. The man was arrested for simple assault and is currently jailed at the Jefferson County Jail. The woman was cited for harassment.
