POLK TOWNSHIP – A Jamie Lane camp was burglarized sometime between Oct. 11 and Nov. 4 in Polk Township, Jefferson County, the DuBois State Police reported yesterday.
According to the report, a person(s) entered a Kittanning man’s camp by breaking a window. Once inside, they caused damage to the hot water tank and also burned up the water pump. The damage to the furnace caused it to continuously run, police said.
Police also indicated the person(s) consumed food items and alcoholic beverages and then removed three flashlights and two sleeping bags. They obtained a set of keys which were for the camp and the shed.
Police said the person(s) left the camp’s doors open and lighting was left on. The incident is still under investigation at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the DuBois State Police at 814-371-4652.
