Tennessee Woman Seriously Injured After Leaping from Moving Vehicle

PORT MATILDA – A Memphis, TN woman was seriously injured after jumping from a moving vehicle on Interstate 99 Wednesday morning.

According to the state police in Philipsburg, a married couple, the Memphis woman and a man from New York, were having an argument when they left a State College hotel. The woman allegedly scratched her husband’s face.

The couple continued arguing as they traveled south on I-99 at an estimated speed of 75 miles-per-hour, when the woman leapt from the passenger side of their vehicle.

The woman was transported by Port Matilda Emergency Medical Services to Mt. Nittany Hospital, then by helicopter to Geisinger in Danville. According to police she suffered serious injuries.
