Reynoldsville Man Facing Firearm Theft Charges

REYNOLDSVILLE – A Reynoldsville man is facing charges for allegedly stealing 18 firearms in Reynoldsville.

According to the state police in DuBois, a warrant was issued for the arrest of 47-year-old John J. O’Brien. Police said he was taken into custody and placed in Jefferson County Jail.

During the investigation a citizen reported they recently purchased five of the 18 firearms from O’Brien. The state police then identified them as being five of the 18.

The DuBois barracks is asking for the public’s assistance in getting back the 13 remaining firearms (rifles/pistols/shotguns). The state police would also like to remind the public that if anyone is found possessing stolen property, they may be subject to arrest.
