- On Oct. 20, police conducted a traffic detail to help reduce aggressive driving. Six citations were issued as a result of the detail. Officers issued citations for speeding, stop sign violation, obedience to traffic control device and restraint systems.
- On Oct. 20, police responded to First Commonwealth Bank on North Main Street for a reported alarm. An employee of the security company was working on the alarm, and it activated.
- On Oct. 20, police were called to the 100 block of East Weber Avenue for a reported domestic dispute. Officers found that man and his step-father were engaged in an argument. No charges were filed.
- On Oct. 20, police received a report about a vehicle that was driving all over the road on South Brady Street. Officers located the vehicle, which parked on the first block of East Weber Avenue. A 48-year-old DuBois man was suspected for driving under the influence of alcohol and taken into custody. He will be charged pending the results of the blood test.
- On Oct. 21, police field an alarm call at the Tractor Supply store on Beaver Driver. Officers found the alarm to be unfounded and were again dispatched two more times through the early morning hours for reports of alarms. Both times, officers didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.
- On Oct. 21, police were called to the 300 block of First Street for a reported theft. Officers indicated that an XBOX 360, two controllers and a Transformers game were reportedly stolen from a residence. The total value of the stolen items is about $400.
- On Oct. 21, police reported an alarm at the Post Office in the Martin’s Complex. The alarm was unfounded.
- On Oct. 22, police reported an alarm at the Tractor Supply store on Beaver Drive. Officers didn’t find anything out of the ordinary. After checking with police records, it was determined they had been called to the store 14 times for false alarms in October 2010. A citation was filed against the store as a result.
- On Oct. 22, police were called to the 500 block of Clinton Avenue for reported criminal mischief. The owner of a 2009 Jeep Liberty Sport reported that someone slashed his tire with a utility knife.
- On Oct. 22, police reported an incident of retail theft at the Dollar General Store on West Long Avenue. Three juvenile females entered and allegedly left the store without paying. One juvenile had left a paper with an address on it. Officers followed up and found the three juvenile girls were 13, 14 and 15 years old. The stolen items were recovered; two juveniles were cited for retail theft.
- On Oct. 23, police were called to the 400 block of Spruce Alley for a reported assault that had occurred there. A female told police she had an argument with a known man at a local bar earlier in the morning. When she returned home, he reportedly arrived with his girlfriend at her residence. The couple was asked to leave. The man allegedly choked and punched the victim, before he and his girlfriend left. The incident is still under investigation.
- On Oct. 24, police were called to the DuBois Manor Motel for a reported assault. Officers located the complainant who was staying there. It was determined that he and his boss had engaged in a mutual scuffle. Neither party wanted to proceed with charges.
