Shaw Public Library to Host Halloween Party

CLEARFIELD – The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library will host a Halloween party for all children who participated in its Let’s Discover Fall Story Session I.  Children are encouraged to wear their costumes to the library for a parade and trick-or-treating event around downtown Clearfield on Oct. 25 at 10:30 a.m.

During the Halloween party, Shaw Public Library will begin registration for its Fall Story Session II, A Season of Giving.  Preschool aged children will learn about the upcoming holiday seasons through stories, games, and crafts.  A Season of Giving will include several special events, including a Thanksgiving celebration and a visit from Santa Claus for all participating children.

The 6 week program begins Nov. 8.  Shaw Public Library is offering baby time, toddler time, and story time sessions to all area preschoolers ages 6 months through 5 years of age.  Baby time classes are open to children ages 6 months through 2 years of age on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m.  Toddler time classes, for children ages 2 to 3 years of age, will follow on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:15 a.m. until noon.  On Tuesdays, there will be two story time classes, the first from 10:30 until 11: 30 a.m. and the second from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. for all 4 and 5 year olds.

Parents and guardians may contact the library to register for any of the above programs.  All children will need an up-to-date photo release form, which is available at the Shaw Public Library’s front desk.  A calendar with dates and times for each program is also available at the front desk.
