Howard E. Bloom, age 65, of Bloom Lane in Rockton, PA died Oct. 18, 2010 at the Brookville Hospital.
He was born on February 24, 1945 in Grampian, PA. He was the son of the late Blair and Mary C. (Hartzfeld) Bloom.
He had an associate degree in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He was a self employed contractor.
He enjoyed his grandchildren and his work.
He is survived by his son, Neil E. Bloom of Brockway, PA and one daughter, Brenda L. Shrek and her husband, Ernie of Springfield, VA, two sisters, Nancy L. Cochran of Luthersburg, PA and Edna M. Capozzi of North River, NY, and four grandchildren, Neil Bloom, Andrea Bloom, Michaela Shrek and Kyle Shrek.
He was preceded in death his parents, two brothers, George W. Bloom and Dennis L. Bloom, and one sister, Sharon A. Bloom.
Visitation will be held on Oct. 19 from 6-8 p.m. and Oct. 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. from the Goble Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Charles M. Lee, Jr. and Pastor Kevin Beard officiating.
Burial will be in Luthersburg Union Cemetery.
