Belva Irene Bish, 93, of Windy Hill Village and formerly of Philipsburg died Thursday. She was the last of her generation.
Born on Dec. 21, 1916 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Susan (Wisor) Smeal. Mrs. Bish was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Philipsburg
She married Kenneth M. Bish on Dec. 20, 1939 in Tyrone. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1986. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Woodrow and Wesley Smeal; two sisters, Viola Hummel and Violet Woods Gearhart; and one son, Robert W. Bish Sr.
She is survived by two sons, the Rev. Forrest S. “Bud” Bish II and his wife, “Benny” of Yorkana and Rick L. Bish and his wife, Honey of Philipsburg; one daughter, Linda L. Marchincin and her husband, Norman of Bordentown, NJ; and one daughter-in-law, Nancy Bish of Pleasant Hill, Philipsburg.
Mrs. Bish is also survived by eight grandchildren, Robert W. Bish, Michelle Rupp, Robin Marchincin, Jodi Marchincin Reese, Randy Marchincin, Matthew Scott Bish, Kenneth Bish and Samantha Bish and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, with the Rev. Mark Thumma officiating. Burial will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
