Obituary Notice: Frances C. Albert

Frances C. Albert, 79 of West Decatur, passed away on Sept. 29, 2010 at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Campus.

Born Dec. 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Smerick) Pavlick.

She was a member of the Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg, where she had served as a secretary to the priest. She was employed as a secretary at the General Cigar Factory in Philipsburg until retiring. She also worked as a personal care giver in the Philipsburg area.

On Oct. 14, 1950 she married John H. Albert, who preceded her in death on April 3, 1992.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Charles, Michael and George Pavlick; and sisters Margaret Eberwein, Mary Bennett and Katherine Sandy.

She is survived by daugher Linda S. Yastro of West Decatur; sons Jeffrey A. Albert and his wife Judy of Wentzivlle, MO, James E. Albert and his wife Robin of Liverpool, PA, and John C. Albert and his wife Cynthia of Lancaster, OH; sisters Rosella Lombardo of Philipsburg, Anna Twoey of Philipsburg and Esther Potter of Bellemeade; grandchildren: Erin Yastro of Spokan, WA; Devin Yastro of Chester Hill; Justin Albert and his wife Ashley of New Millport; Megan, Jackson and Bailey Albert, all of Liverpoole; Caitlin, Abby and Emma Albert, all of Lancaster, OH; Joe Albert of West Decatur; and Jeana Thorn and her husband Bud of St. Louis, MO; and great-grandchild Joelee Madison Thorn of  St. Louis, MO.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Oct. 2 at 9 a.m. at the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Philipsburg with the Msgr. H. Desmond McGee Jr. as celebrant. Burial will be at the Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Philipsburg.

Visitation will be held on Oct. 1 from 5-9 p.m. at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg. A Vigil Service will be conducted by Msgr. McGee at 4:45 p.m., followed by the recitation of the Rosary at 5:15 p.m., both on Friday at the funeral home.
