Clearfield Main Street Manager Receives Certification

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Revitalization Corporation, is proud to announce that Main Street Manager Kellie Truman has completed the Community Revitalization Academy administered through the PA Downtown Center. Truman completed six intense training sessions throughout her first year as Main Street Manager, and has received her Main Street Certification in the following categories: new manager training, organization, design, promotion, economic restructuring and safe, clean and green.

Completing the Community Revitalization Academy requires dedication, and Truman has met the demands to bring a new level of expertise to Clearfield. These intense academies build upon the basics of the Main Street Approach, and recognize that communities do not decline overnight and need time and consistent effort to be revitalized. Improving organizational management, strengthening public participation and making the community a fun place to both live and visit are as critical to a community’s future as recruiting new businesses, rehabilitating buildings, offering special events and cleaning up vacant lots.

President of the CRC Keely Casteel said, “The CRC has been blessed to have Kellie as our manager in the first year of the Main Street Program in Clearfield.  She has done a very good job and we are confident she will continue to improve and grow the program in year two.  Revitalization is truly a process and the CRC also thanks the community for the support and funding to make Main Street possible.  We are all excited for the continued betterment of Clearfield.”
