– Police reported an incident of burglary at 10 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Gateway Humane Society on Airport Road, Falls Creek, in Washington Township, Jefferson County. A person(s) broke a window to gain entry. Once inside the building, the person(s) reportedly removed a security camera and a VHS tape from the machine. They then reportedly gained entry into a metal lock box and forced a desk drawer open. An area resident advised that they heard a noise and responded to the scene. In addition, they reported that someone was observed running from the building and into a wooded area behind the same.
