CURWENSVILLE – The Lady Tide Volleyball team picked up their second win of the season Mondayat Patton Hall against the visiting Lady Bulldogs from Redbank Valley. The match went five sets with the scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-17, 21-25,15-13.
Rachel Michaels led the team with 23 kills followed by Taylor Thornhill who had 20 kills and 6 blocks.
Madison Peterman led the team in service points with 19 and assists with 20. Audrey Thomas added 17 assists.
Great defensive games were turned in from Hannah Bressler, Savannah Strickland and Ricki Wells.
Lady Tide Head coach Sandy Bailor commented afterwards that, “It was a great win against a quality opponent. Redbank Valley did a nice job mixing up their shots, but give credit to our girls as they were able to stay focused and get the job done.”
Curwensville (2-0) will be on the road Tuesday when they travel to Brookville.
