Richard E. “Bummy” Bumbarger, 75, of Woodland died Wednesday, at his home.
Born Nov. 13, 1934 in Shiloh, he was the son of the late Willard and Virginia (Maines) Bumbarger.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra G. (Kriebel) Bumbarger, whom he married on May 12, 1956; four children, Richard Edward Bumbarger II and his wife, Victoria of Doyelstown, Victoria Gail Bumbarger of Lewistown, LeRoy Clark and his wife, Amy of Royersford and Valerie Mae Keith and her husband, Rick of Woodland; four grandchildren, Richard Bumbarger III, Jason Bumbarger, Bridget Maines and Nicole Bumbarger; and one great-grandson, Ty Bumbarger.
He is also survived by his sister; Velda Smeal of Morrisdale and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
At the request of Mr. Bumbarger, there will be no public visitation. There was a celebration of his life for family and friends and family at the Bumbarger residence in Woodland on Saturday, Sept. 11.
