Police Report: Philipsburg PSP

–        Police reported an incident of simple assault that occurred at approximately 12 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Birch Street and state Route 504 in Rush Township, Centre County. A 63-year-old male suspect allegedly grabbed a 57-year-old female by her head and neck area and attempted to twist the same. The suspect also allegedly scratched the sides of her face and held an open, bladed pocket knife to her throat. The knife didn’t make any contact with her throat, police said. The incident is still under investigation at this time.

–        Police reported an incident of criminal mischief sometime between Sept. 2 and Monday at a residence on Earnestville Road in Rush Township, Centre County. A 43-year-old Osceola Mills woman reported that someone damaged a window at her residence with a BB gun. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Philipsburg State Police at 814-342-3370.

–        Police reported an incident of burglary that occurred sometime between 12:01 a.m. and 11:20 p.m. Saturday on South High Street in Port Matilda Borough, Centre County. A person(s) reportedly entered the residence of a 29-year-old Port Matilda woman and removed a bottle of Vicodin pills.
