- A one-vehicle accident occurred on state Route 970 in Rush Township. A 17-year old boy was driving west when he lost control of the 2000 Dodge Dakota he was driving. He tried to negotiate a left curve in the road and lost control as a result. He travelled across the road and hit an embankment before he hit a tree and rolled over. The truck rolled onto it’s left side, onto the roof, and then onto the right side before reentering the road and sliding into the eastbound lane. The driver was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.
