- Police report a DUI crash that occurred on Aug. 20 at 1:33 a.m. on state Route 879 near Walmart Drive in Lawrence Township. The incident occurred as motorist began to flee police and a pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit the accused committed several traffic violations before losing control of his vehicle and overturning it. The accused was charged with fleeing and eluding police, driving under the influence, and several other traffic violations.
- Police report an incident of criminal mischief that occurred between Aug. 13 and Aug. 18 at a location on Grassflat Avenue in Cooper Township. The incident occurred as unknown suspect(s) damaged the windshield on the victim’s 1997 Dodge Intrepid while it was parked. Damage is estimated at $300 and the investigation continues.
- Police report a simple assault that occurred at 8:00 p.m. on August 18 on Schofield Street in the Curwensville Borough. The incident occurred as the victim and the accused became involved in a physical altercation following an argument. The accused grabbed the victim and threw her to the ground, and then punched and kicked the victim while she was on the ground. The victim received injuries to her face and body as a result of the altercation. The accused was taken into custody and lodged in the Clearfield County Jail. The investigation continues.
- Police report an incident of criminal mischief that occurred on August 18 at 1:00 at a location on Roseland Lane in Bradford Township. The incident occurred as a woman put two holes in the walls of the victim’s residence and also smashed the victim’s Vizio TV, with damages estimated at $1400. A citation was filed at District Court 46-3-03 in Kylertown and she is charged with one count of criminal mischief.
- Police report an incident of theft that occurred on Aug. 18 between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Glenhope Boulevard in the Clearfield borough. The incident occurred when unknown suspect(s) took a tub from the victim’s yard.
- Police report an incident of access device fraud that occurred between Aug. 11 and Aug. 18 at a location on Bailey Road in the Curwensville borough. The incident occurred when unknown suspect(s) used the victim’s credit card information to obtain items that they were not authorized to purchase without the victim’s knowledge.
- Police report an incident of recklessly endangering another person that occurred on Aug. 17 between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. on Williams Road in Graham Township. The incident occurred when a man shot across the roadway from his residence at a chair in the neighbor’s yard while the victims were in close proximity, causing the victims to be in danger.
- Police report a related incident of indirect criminal contempt that occurred at 6:55 p.m. on August 17 on Williams Road in Graham Township. The incident occurred when a man was found in violation of a protection from abuse order issued by the Clearfield Court of common pleas. He was placed under arrest and arraigned and placed in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 dollars bail.
- Police report an incident of criminal mischief and harassment that occurred on Aug. 17 at 8:00 p.m. on Curtin Street in the borough of Osceola Mills. A man was cited for disorderly conduct and harassment following a disturbance at the above location. He reportedly choked the alleged victim, bent the the person’s glasses, and smashed the driver side window out of his Ford truck. Citations were filed at the District Court in Kylertown.
